Nick Miller

Hi, I'm Nick Miller. I like to write things.

My debut novel, "Isn't It Pretty To Think So?", will be released in 2012.

You can start reading the novel here or order a copy from Amazon.

Today, my publisher announced the release date of my novel: November 14th, 2011. In November 2010, I posted on my Tumblr a draft of the first chapter of a novel I had just started working on. The time from then to now represents the greatest journey I’ve ever known in my life—the many inspirational emails and messages from supporters, the Kickstarter contributions, the hundreds of submitted cover designs, and everything else.

I’m truly excited to share with you the novel I’ve given all of myself to. Thank you for being part of my ongoing journey. Full announcement below.

How soon? Ninety-one days from now, to be exact.

On November 14, we will publish and release Isn’t It Pretty To Think So?, the debut novel for 28-year-old writer Nick Miller. We could not be prouder of Nick for reaching this milestone, and we’re also extremely thrilled to undertake this as our first project.

Like everyone else, what caught our attention was the 4,000-word excerpt Nick posted last November, which circulated throughout the Internet faster than a cat GIF. Since then, we’ve worked tirelessly with Nick to prepare his novel for public consumption. And from our completely unbiased point of view, the book is pretty damn good.

The story is told from the perspective of Jake Reed, an aspiring writer. After a death in the family, Jake leaves everything behind and escapes to Los Angeles. His path leads him through a small beach town, where he falls in love with a mysterious girl, and later, deep into the trenches of West Hollywood. Jake finds himself amid the menagerie of the aught generation, fueled by alcohol, sex, celebrity, and cocaine. Ultimately, he is driven to the fringes of solitude and enters an unexpected relationship with a prostitute named Tatiana. Read the rough draft of the first chapter here.

Nick Miller’s Isn’t It Pretty To Think So? will be available for purchase this fall in good old-fashioned paper and also in e-book format. If you would like a reminder, sign up for our mailing list.
